Religious Brutality

"The crusades were absolutely horrendous! Raping, pillaging, torturing, slaughtering, and destroying everything. Christianity has a disgusting past though bro." - D. M. Hayden

I totally agree! We can also see this throughout the history of humanity, if we isolate and focus on extreme inhumane acts. We know so much more about ourselves than ever before, I think our generation can push the line toward more humane treatment of each other.

Following a book which was created in a historical contextual need, while ignoring that context and why the book was created in the first place, is dangerously problematic.

We're coming up on the 500th anniversary of Martin Luther's Ninety-five Theses which challenged the Catholic church and started Protestantism.

Maybe something that transformative can happen in Islam. Has it already happened and we haven't heard about it yet?
How we could create space for that?
